Tourism bureau meets with Indiana media
Janet Hartsuff, Steuben County Tourism Bureau Public Relations Manager, recently met with 20 Hoosier newspaper and magazine editors, reporters and free-lance travel writers at the Indiana Tourism Media Marketplace in Indianapolis.
“I made some excellent contacts and had the opportunity to meet face to face with editors from publications such as the Indianapolis Star and the South Bend Tribune,” said Hartsuff. “I will be sending them additional information on our area and will keep them updated on what’s new in Steuben County.”
The marketplace was sponsored by the Indiana Office of Tourism Development. More than 20 Hoosier attractions and conventions and visitor’s bureau were represented at the marketplace, held at the Eiteljorg Museum.
Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman also visited the marketplace. “It’s great to see the enthusiasm for Indiana tourism and to meet people from around the state who are excited about their destinations,” she said. “Forging positive relationships with the media is important to telling the story about Indiana tourism and bringing more travelers-and their dollars-to Indiana
