Wild Winds hosting Fall Rendezvous

Fremont, Ind.-Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve is hosting the eighth annual Fall Rendezvous Saturday, Oct. 14-Sunday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free to the Rendezvous, which will feature an 1800’s encampment with fur traders and blanket traders selling various Native American wares. Tours of the preserve, home to approximately 180 buffalo, are offered via an open-air vehicle. The cost is $6 per adult and $4 per child under the age of 12. Tours run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wild Winds is located at 6975 N. Ray Rd., Fremont, two miles north of State Road 120.

RISE to the occasion in Steuben County

RISE to the Occasion-Tastes, Sights & Sounds of the Lakes-is set for Thursday, Oct. 12 at the 101 Lounge in Angola, Ind.

This unique sampling of the foods, arts and music of Steuben and DeKalb counties benefits RISE, which aims to increase independence in adults with disabilities.

Ticket price is $25 per person, which includes entrance to a wide array of local art displays, music, a silent auction and five tickets to use at the fine dining vendors. The Ultimate Pass is $45 per person or $80 per couple for unlimited access to all the dining vendors.

The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the 101 Lounge, 310 W. Wendell Jacob Dr., Angola.
